Cassandra Gutierrez became a registered nurse in 2010 and certified as a family nurse practitioner in 2018. She graduated with honors from the nursing program at The University of Texas at Arlington after completing her undergraduate nursing degree at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. She served the communities of Newport News, Va., and Honolulu, Hawaii, before returning to North Texas in 2016. She has worked in the primary care setting since 2019 with a focus on diagnostic testing and support for disease prevention.

Cassandra is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and Sigma Theta Tau National Honor Society for Nursing. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, doing arts and crafts projects, and staying active any way she can. In addition to English, Cassandra is fluent in Spanish.
