Amber Kerbow has been caring for North Texans since 2017 with an emphasis on health, wellness and preventative medicine. She previously worked in a local internal medicine practice as a certified physician assistant, where she was responsible for all aspects of care from managing medical histories and physical examinations to ordering and interpreting lab results and radiology. Her additional areas of experience include senior care, acute and chronic illness management, women’s health services and wound care.

Amber received her bachelor’s degree in kinesiology from The University of Texas at Austin. She went on to earn her Master of Physician Assistant Studies at the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth. Amber is passionate about providing quality care to a diverse patient population. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and Texas Academy of Physician Assistants.

Robert Kent Smitherman, MD

Robert Smitherman, M.D., FACP chose internal medicine for its broad complex scope and challenges, and because of his desire to form meaningful, long-lasting relationships with his patients. He has been an academic clinician and teacher in Texas since 2001 and has served the Arlington community since 2008.

Dr. Smitherman is board-certified in internal medicine. He earned his medical degree and completed his internal medicine residency at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. He served as an assistant professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at the Baylor College of Medicine-Ben Taub General Hospital for six years prior to setting down roots in North Texas. Dr. Smitherman’s areas of interest and focus include the treatment of chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and the promotion of cardiovascular health and wellness. He currently serves as an adjunct faculty member at UT Southwestern Medical School, and is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and a member of the Texas Medical Association. When not practicing medicine and with his patients, Dr. Smitherman enjoys spending time with his wife and children, along with numerous outdoor activities.
